We are getting mixed messages on whether the iPhone 5 will be released this September or in the fourth quarter. Some sources are pointing to the coming October while others suggest that the next generation iPhone will be unveiled on the 12^th of September and hit the market on the 21^st. What is new now is that folks at iMore posted that the new iPhone (which is what we expect Apple to call it, just like the new iPad) will be available for preorders the same day Apple brings it out of to the light to be admired by Apple fans and media.

According to iMore, we will be seeing the rest of the expected to be released soon iOS devices such as a renovated iPhone, iPod Touch, iPod Mano, iPad and iPad mini as well as a new dock connector some time during fall 2012. We can’t give you exact dates on this one though.

iMore backed up this information with BGR’s AT&T source. The source stated that new iPhones will be available sometime around the third or fourth week of September.
