The Latest iPod Nano With Bluetooth and iPhone 5 Connector Rumors!

by iPhone 5 Jailbreak

The rumors about the Apple products seem to be endless. Some of them are rather ridiculous and not even worth mentioning. Others however turn out to be quite true and based on news from some very reliable sources. At times it can get pretty difficult to tell them apart with Apple continuously surprising us with including the least expected features in its products and taking the market to a whole new era.

iLounge reported some really exciting news concerning the possibility of the expected iPod nano to include Bluetooth wireless networking and an eight pin MagSafe dock connector for the iPhone 5. You read right! Not a 16 or 19 pin, but a nine pin connector!

This is what Jeremy Horwitz from iLounge had to say regarding this matter:

“According to two sources, Apple’s new Dock Connector features only 8 pins, seemingly contradicting claims of “16-pin” and “19-pin” connectors.

Although the original Dock Connector contained 30 pins, reports of 16- or 19-pin connectors seemed hard to square with the port’s small size and Apple’s actual need for additional pins beyond what USB/Micro-USB offer.”

Jeremy also pointed out that Apple may market the new connector under a new name. He added:

“No images or parts for the connector have leaked out, either. Both of our sources concur that there are eight pins in a line within the new Dock Connector, which may well receive a different name going forward.”

Regarding the rumours that say that the iPod nano will pack a Bluetooth 4.0 feature, Horwitz said:

Our source also claimed that Apple is working on an as-yet-undisclosed iOS 6 feature that will act as a bridge between its Bluetooth 4-capable devices.

The feature would enable, say, a future iPod nano to display iMessages received by an iPhone, record voice memos that could be shared via the iPhone, and even initiate phone calls through its own headphones.”

Besides the exciting rumour that points that Apple is likely going to implement Bluetooth into its future iPod, the iPod nano, the fruit company may open up the device to be compatible with self-made and third party accessories.

It is really hard to speculate what is cooking up in Apple’s kitchen. Do you think we might be seeing an iWatch with FaceTime like the one in the concept below any time soon?
